 Both on screen and off screen, the flavor of the season is wedding, ‘shaadi’, ‘byaah’, ‘nikaah’…‘Vivah’.
This is no reference to box office blooper Shaadi No.1 or the real life awaited wedding of the Khan brothers of Shaadi No.1 but ‘Vivah’ is Suraj Barjatya’s latest film.
The filmmaker who created magic with ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, ‘Hum Aapke Hai Kaun’ and ‘Hum Saath Saath Hai’ and even tasted failure with ‘Main Prem ki Deewani Hoon’ is back.
Keeping in line with his habit of not revealing much about the film, the director said, “In ‘Vivah’, I intend to look t the sanctity of marital bonding. At 40 I can look at the man woman relationship with some detachment. Unlike my earlier films ‘Vivah’ isn’t about the festivities connected with a marriage. It’s about dynamics of a marriage.”
As for the cast, the latest entrants into the Rajshree camp are Shahid Kapur and Amrita Rao.
Barjatya states that post ‘Main Prem Ki Deewani Hun’, ‘Vivah’ was one idea that concertised in his mind. But he insists that he trusts the project more because his father Sr. Barjatya is very excited about the concept. The reason as simple as all his three super hits were subjects chosen by his father.
So as long as the son will continue following his father’s footsteps, the sun surely will continue shining over Rajshree and the Barjatyas.
