Actor Vikram’s daughter to wed ex-CM Karunanidhi’s great grandson

South cinema actor Chiyaan Vikram’s daughter Akshita is all set to tie the knot. Akshita will be getting married to Manu Ranjith, the great grandson of former Tamil Nadu chief minister and DMK supremo M Karunanidhi.

Manu is the son of CK Ranganathan, owner of CK Bakery, a fast-growing confectionery chain. Manu’s mother is the daughter of Muthu, the first son of Karunanidhi.

The engagement ceremony will be held on July 10 at an upscale hotel in Chennai. It will be a close-knit affair with only close relatives of the couple gracing the event. The wedding will be grand and will take place next year, according to a report in a leading daily.

Vikram’s 2015 romantic thriller ‘I’ opposite Amy Jackson earned him plaudits for his performance and also became the third highest-grossing Tamil film of all time. The National Award winning actor is currently busy wrapping up his upcoming film ‘Iru Mugan’ in which he will be seen in a dual roles of a R&AW agent and a baddie. He will take a break from the shoot for the special day.
