Actor AK Hangal's condition remains critical
98 year old distinguished actor AK Hangal’s condition remains to be critical. He is on life support system. He was admitted to Asha Parekh hospital on August 16th after he slipped in the washroom and fractured his right femur (thigh) bone.
The doctors and the family members informed that AK Hangal’s condition is serious. “He is in the ICU...he is not on ventilator. But he is on oxygen mask. His condition has worsened today,” Hangal's son, Vijay, told.
He underwent surgery after he fractured his bone and post operation he developed many complications from chest problem to breathing.
The veteran actor acted in over 200 films. He is best known for his roles in films like 'Namak Haram', 'Sholay', 'Shaukeen', 'Aaina', 'Bawarchi', ‘Aandhi’, ‘Kora Kagaz’, and many others.
He faced camera after seven long years for TV series ‘Madhubala’.
Born in Peshawar, he moved to Mumbai after Partition in 1949. AK Hangal was
involved with the theatre group IPTA along with Balraj Sahni and Kaifi Azmi.
