Abhishek to work alongside wife Ash’s ex-flame Vivek Oberoi

Abhishek Bachchan is back from his extended honeymoon with wife Aishwarya Rai and he seems to have gotten back to work. Abhishek’s recent film Jhoom Barabar Jhoom did not do well at the box-office; however he refuses to be disheartened and has already moved on. Amongst his forthcoming projects, Abhishek will soon be seen in director Apoorva Lakhia’s next film Mission Istanbul. Abhishek will be working alongside his wife Aishwarya’s ex-flame Vivek Oberoi in this film. Abhishek and Vivek were seen in Shootout at Lokhandwala; however the two did not have any scenes together in that film. But in Mission Istanbul, Abhi and Vivek will have quite a few scenes together but sources claim that both Vivek and Abhi are professionals and hence have no qualms about working together.
Mission Istanbul will be produced by Suniel Shetty’s production company and will be directed by Apoorva Lakhia. It is a multi starrer and will star Abhishek Bachchan, Vivek Oberoi, Bobby Deol, Shabbir Ahluwalia etc. The cast almost sounds similar to Lakhia’s recent hit film ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’. Sources claim that all of Lakhia’s films are known to have the Bachchan men as he considers them his lucky mascots. Recently after the success of Shootout at Lokhandwala, Lakhia also wanted to rope in Vivek who was responsible in a big way for the success of the film and hence he was a natural choice for this film too. Suniel Shetty confirms that Abhishek and Vivek will be working together and he also states that there are no problems between the two; Suniel adds “Why should they have a problem? Abhishek is a thorough professional and he has no problem with anybody. Abhishek and Vivek do have scenes together. But neither of the actors has expressed any misgivings about working together.”

Mission Istanbul will have a big budget and will have international standard special effects. In fact Suniel has roped in an international special VFX company to do the special effects for the film. The film will be shot in Turkey and other actors and actresses will soon be finalized for the film. Suniel claims “The theme for Mission Istanbul requires an international vision and hence top of the line technicians from abroad will be doing the special effects. The film’s budget will be around 25-30 crore.”
