Abhishek proposes to Sonam in front of Taj

Taj Mahal is a symbol of love and if anyone proposes to his ladylove at this historical monument then obviously the impact would be gigantic. To create such effect, the director of Dilli 6, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has shot a romantic scene between the lead actress Sonam Kapoor and actor Abhishek Bachchan. The theme of the scene is that Abhi always loves Sonam but he does not have the courage to propose to her but finally he gathers courage and proposes to her before the eternal symbol of love, The Taj Mahal. Sonam was more than happy with Abhi’s move and she accepts his proposal graciously.

After the shot, Abhishek clicked photograph of the Taj on his mobile. The scene will definitely put some extra weight to the film and it will be an important factor to drag audience to the theatre. Present on the shooting spot along with Abhi and Sonam were Waheeda Rahman, Rishi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor.

Shooting at Taj Mahal is actually prohibited but the producer of the film took special permission from the ASI's (Archeological Survey of India). Incharge of the Taj Mahal, R.K. Dixit confirms that a special two day permission has been granted to the unit of DILLI 6 to shoot at the historical Taj Mahal. Tight security prevailed in and around the Taj as well as the hotel in the wake of the serial bomb blasts in Delhi.
