Abhishek Bachchan in awe of Aamir Khan

Actor Abhishek Bachchan has recently said about fellow actor Aamir Khan, ‘I am in awe of him’. The 37 year old actor, who plays the protagonist against Aamir Khan’s negative character of a thief in the film ‘Dhoom 3’, holds him in great respect and that it was a learning experience for him while acting alongside him. A few days ago, it was reported that Aamir Khan had been garnering all the attention for the film and taking centre stage while interacting with the press and publicity at his expense. But Abhishek Bachchan, instead of retaliating, took it in his stride and let it pass.

Aamir Khan is known as Mr. Perfectionist in Bollywood and it is well known that actors aspire to act with him because of his abilities and inputs. It is also an accepted fact that he prefers to work according to his wishes, starting from the scene to the promotional events. This is sometimes seen as irksome by others. But, in the end it is accepted that every film with Aamir Khan is destined to be blockbuster and there is a lot to be learnt from him.

Abhishek was seen saying about Aamir Khan, ‘I can’t say Aamir is my buddy. For the kind of work he has done and is doing there is certain amount of respect that I have for him. I am in awe of him. I have learnt a lot from him while working with him on this film.’

In all thethree films in the Dhoom series, Abhishek Bachchan has consistently played the cop, Jai Dixit who has been pitted against John Abraham in Dhoom and Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom2. Curiosity was expressed in who according to him was his favourite villain among the three. To this, he said, ‘I have had fun working with all of them. All the three films are very much different and so are these (of villains) characters’. For Dhoom3 we have gone a step ahead. I don’t look them as villains but as co-stars. It is difficult... unfair to choose who my favourite (villain) is.’

Known for his humility and dedication towards his work, Abhishek Bachchan treats every film as a learning experience. This is seen in the way he has spoken about Aamir Khan and we are sure we shall see it all in the film ‘Dhoom 3’ slated to be released on 20th December, 2013.
