Aaradhya Bachchan chants Ganesh aarti, makes modak for festival
The cute Aaradhya Bachchan, granddaughter of megastar Amitabh Bachchan is a bundle of talent. The four-and-half-year old daughter of Abhishek and Aishawarya Rai already knows the Ganesh aarti and the Gayatri Mantra by heart, and can even make modaks, the traditional sweet offered to Ganesha.
A report in DNA quoted a source as saying, “Aishwarya has been teaching Aaradhya the Ganesh aarti since she was three. The little girl knows the mantra and has rote-learned the first paragraph. Before Ganesh Chaturthi, she makes modaks. It’s an activity she enjoys along with mom Ash and her naani, Brinda.”
The source also added that although the Bachchan’s don’t bring Ganesha home every year, they always pray to his idol at home and Aaradhya is a devoted participant, partaking in all the prayers and festivities. The little one enjoys Ganesha festival and eagerly waits for it every year. “Aaradhya looks forward to the celebrations with eagerness, though, she’s still a child,” the source added.
Earlier this year, Big B revealed that the baby Bachchan often imitates his onscreen moves. According to a popular film magazine, when the 73-year-old actor was asked how Aaradhya reacts when she sees him in a film or on TV, he said that the four-year-old kid now-a-days demonstrates, “quite cutely, some of my dance moves that she has noticed on TV.”
