According to a source, "Four days before shooting, were kept aside for Aamir to get to know his leading lady and put her at ease, so that the romantic song would look natural. Aamir and Asin would go for long walks in the desert. Nobody knew what they spoke about but one could see Asin gradually relaxing and becoming comfortable with Aamir. And that’s the reason the blazing chemistry on screen."

Aamir needed to establish a rapport with Asin, confirmed the source. "Aamir is an experienced actor and can switch on and off at will but he realised that Asin might not be ready to break into a romantic number at will. They needed to establish a rapport."
