Aamir outbursts at Chetan Bhagat
Aamir Khan is upset that the writer of the film ‘3 Idiots’ Abhijat Joshi has been sidelined and was not given the due credit for the script which he has worked for the last three years. He at the same time accused novelist Chetan Bhagat for taking away the credit of the film from the scriptwriter.
"He is trying to take away the credit from the film's writer Abhijat Joshi, which I am very upset about. It is an attempt on his part to try and take the credit away from the person who has actually worked on the script. It's very unfortunate. There should not be any confusion to anyone that Abhijat is our film's writer," Khan told reporters here last night.
Chetan Bhagat accused the filmmaker for not paying him the credit as they have copied 70 percent of the story from his book ‘Five Point Someone’. During the press conference, Vidhu Vinod Chopra said that he was upset with Chetan’s claim and also said that he was upset for director Rajkumar Hirani and scriptwriter Abhijat Joshi. “The claim was just for publicity as I have paid him just before the release of film.”
‘3 Idiots’ is doing a good business worldwide.
