Aamir Khan finally goes almost bald

There has been a buzz for some time now that Aamir Khan will be going bald for the remake of his Tamil film Ghajini. However various delays have been cropping up, at first it was Aamir's nerves acting up and then later the exact style had not yet been worked out. But now Aamir has finally got the 'almost bald' look and looks quite the dude in his new hairstyle. 

Aamir's new look has been done by his ever faithful stylist Avan Contractor who took around one and a half hour to achieve the desired look. Aamir was already nervous and hence he invited the hair stylist over to his home so that he would be at ease. For perfectionist Aamir even shaving off his head needs to be done with perfection. Aamir however has not gone in for a completely bald look; it is a very close crop which has an almost bald look. He then got hair stylist Avan to shave of a particular part with a razor to give him a scar which was is one of the highlights of the film. The scar made for the film actually makes quite a style statement.  

However as Aamir was initially nervous to go for the new almost bald look, he had wife Kiran Rao, close friend and lyricist Prasoon Joshi, director Murgadoss and a few other selected people gathered around him to make him feel comfortable. However it seems Aamir is quite happy with the end result and likes his new look. Aamir said, "Ghajini is an action thriller and this look is an important dimension to the character I'm playing. I'm very happy with the way it has turned out." Even wife Kiran Rao felt that hubby Aamir looked dashing in his new avatar. Aamir was so pleased with the final look that he decided to celebrate his new look by having an impromptu dinner party with just a few close friends. Later Aamir also officially sported his new look at the premiere of Race and stole the show from hot ladies Katrina, Bipasha and Sameera.
