Aamir Khan, Coca Cola to hold painting contest

The Coca Cola Company is planning a huge painting competition in various schools across the country. The theme of the painting will be 'The need to protect environment.' To promote the noble deed, they have chosen perfectionist Aamir Khan because his recent release Taare Zameen Par is based on painting one’s thought on canvas and the movie has brought a sea change to the conventional way of thinking of an individual.

Speaking on the occasion, Khan said, "The feeling is more special as it has given me the opportunity to raise awareness on environment." On country's Olympic's run so far, Khan said, "There is a huge scope of improvement. I don't think we don't have the capability to do well. Perhaps what we don't know how to harness the capability of the individual. We have diamonds but we need to polish them. We need adequate research and development in the sport and that alone can create a champion.”

Aamir will participate in Olympic torch relay on April 17 in New Delhi along with five other dignitaries.  Dr. Kiran Bedi, president BAIF development research foundation, Narayan Hegde, secretary general and CEO, Ravi Singh, World Wildlife Fund president and CEO, Atul Singh, Coca Cola India and environmentalist Y Subhash Chandra Reddy will be a part of the occasion.
