Aamir and wife Kiran sing for Taare Zameen Par
Recently actor Aamir Khan has been keeping a low profile due to his family problems ; however the actor is now concentrating all his effort on his first directorial venture Taare Zameen Par. The music for the film has been composed by Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy and is already out in stores. Recently Aamir visited veteran actor Shammi Kapoor to gift him the first copy of the music CD. Aamir and his wife Kiran have also sung a playful song in the film.
Aamir Khan has been a huge fan of veteran actor Shammi Kapoor and was introduced to the latter by his uncle Nasir Hussain who had directed Shammi Kapoor in a few films earlier. Aamir wanted to have an official music launch of his first directorial venture, but unfortunately due to his recent family problems, the event was cancelled. Aamir also wanted Shammi Kapoor to officially launch the music album, but as the latter was unwell he invited Aamir to his home instead. A source claims “If there’s someone who Aamir respects immensely and holds close to his heart after his uncle Nasir, it has to be Shammi Kapoor. Shammiji too is very fond of Aamir and treats him like a son.” Aamir Khan along with music directors Shankar and Ehsaan gifted the first copy of the music CD to Shammi Kapoor.
The veteran star Shammi Kapoor and Aamir chatted about various things from music to bollywood and even Aamir’s uncle Nasir Hussain. However Aamir’s wife could not visit Shammi Kapoor along with him as she is down with flu. Aamir and his wife Kiran Rao have also sung a few lines along with other professional singers for Taare Zameen Par. They have lent their voices for a playful song titled ‘Kya hai problem, kyon hai mera bheja kum.’ Music director Shankar confirmed that Aamir and Kiran had sung a few lines for the song; he said “Yes, it’s true that Aamir and Kiran have sung a few lines in the song. It is in a dialogue form but there’s a rhythm to it. It’s a fun filled song that is very apt for generation next.”
Recently Aamir also met one of his favourite filmmakers, Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi. The meeting was arranged by UTV after Aamir got to know that the latter was visiting and would be attending the launch UTV’s new banner Spotboy Motion Pictures. Majidi and Aamir met up for dinner and chatted about their films and discussed world cinema. Aamir was delighted to meet the filmmaker and said “Yes, I am a huge fan of his films, and it was a pleasure meeting Majidi.”
