The Dirty PictureAfter ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’, Balaji Motion Pictures and Milan Luthria has become well known name in Bollywood. The music of ‘OUATIM’ is a killer. It was a music chartbuster which is played in every corner. It has own huge accolades. Now the same production house and Milan are coming up with another scintillating movie ‘The Dirty Picture’ based on south sensation Silk Smitha who had a very miserable ending. The story is based on the period when music directors like Bappi Lahiri, Jatin-Lalit, Nadeen-Shravan ruled. The music of the film is based on 80’s-90’s and hence keeping in mind the essence of this period, the music of ‘The Dirty Picture’ was made.

‘The Dirty Picture’ is a seductive film and hence the task to make the music sensational is given to Vishal-Shekhar. Vishal Shekhar has successfully given music to film ‘Om Shanti Om’ which is also based on 80-90’s.

Songs of ‘The Dirty Picture’ has already been a craze among all. It has all the oomph factor.

The album opens with ‘ooh La la’. Music composer Bappi lahiri has composed the song and it was quite entertaining. ‘Ooh La la’ is a foot-tapping number, very musical. The unique combination of Bappi da and Shreya Ghosal has done a wonder.  Also Rajat Aroraa's lyrics deserve special mention. The musical arrangement is of 80’s.

The next track that follows is ‘Ishq Sufiana’ sung by versatile Sunidhi Chauhan. The song is a blend of sufi and Indian flavor. The song is equally enchanting and musical like the earlier. It has Indian musical arrangement. The lyrics are very catchy and soothing to the ear.

The third track goes as ‘Honeymoon Ki Raat’. It is a club song with a peppy flavor. The song is very electrifying, instrumental, foot-tapping number. Sunidhi Chauhan again goes behind the mike and rocks. Again the lyrics here creates an impact. The song takes back one to the 80’s when party disco prevails. The song is hot and saucy.

The next that follows is ‘Twinkle Twinkle’sung by Shreya Ghosal and in the later part she was joined by Rana Mazumdar. Rajat Arora’s lyrics again have done wonder here. The song falls in the line of ‘De de pyaar de' and 'Pyaar do, Pyaar Lo'. The song reminds one the days of RD Burman’s music and Mithun da moves.  ‘Twinkle Twinkle’ also creates impact.

In the nutshell, the music of ‘The Dirty Picture’ is enjoyable. There is no any sad rendition. Lyrics are very striking to the ear. The song will undoubtedly contribute to the good running of the movie. on hearing the song and watching Vidya Balan’s seductive moves one will surely go‘Ooh La la’.
