Teesri Aankh - Music Review

Teesri Aankh- The Hidden Camera, a thriller is directed by Harry Baweja and stars Sunny Deol, Amisha Patel, Neha Dhupia, Aashish Chaudhary and Aarti Chabria. Quite a few tracks have remixes. Sukhshinder Shinda, Harry Anand and Nitz n Sony are the composers.

‘Chugh De Punjabi’- The album begins with this number by Jazzy B. It’s a mix of his usual bhangra, pop interspersed with English. The track is composed by Sukhshinder Shinda and the lyrics are by Karamjeet Khadowala. It’s a fast dance track with dhol beats.

‘Assi Teri Gal Karni’- The song is composed by Harry Anand and sung by Sonu Nigam. It’s about a marriage celebration. From the name it retains its Punjabi essence, and is zingy. The lyrics are written by Sameer and Suzanne accompanies him. It has a catchy tune. The ‘Remix Version’ just has some rap elements added to it.

‘Titliyan Titliyan’- Shwetha Pandit and Sonu Nigam sing for this track, which is yet another Punjabi song. Shweta Pandit has a nice voice and the song is a light fun song. It is once more interspersed with English. Harry Anand and Sameer have composed the song. This one too has a ‘Remix Version’, which is basically the same except its pace is faster.

‘Sharabiyon’- This is a song written by Nitin Nitz Arora and sung by the famous Asha Bhosle. It has a ‘ghazal’ feel to it and is also more towards the instrumental side. The number is average.

‘Lounge Version’- It has a haunting and soulful feel to it. It sounds good.

Teesri Aankh basically is Punjabi flavor and has too many remixes. There is not too much variation. The album is passable.
