Music has always been an important factor in any film produced by the Bhatt’s. The movies ‘Murder’ and ‘Murder 2’ are no different as well. The films are known for their songs as well and they are still the popular choice. No wonder then that when Mahesh Bhatt’s son Vishesh Bhatt decided to direct ‘Murder 3’, music was given the utmost attention. Pritam composed the music of the film and lyrics of the songs are penned by Sayeed Quadri. After belting out chart blasting numbers in Barfi (2012) and the film Race 2 (2013), the expectations were high from Pritam.
So did Pritam deliver in ‘Murder 3’? You bet he did. The songs of the flick is already doing the rounds and gaining huge popularity. Mahesh Bhatt, the producer of ‘Murder 3’speaking on the music of the movie said, "We have maintained the essence and soul of the music in Murder 3. The fact that the audiences have embraced it, reiterates that melody and love still mean a lot to people."
The CEO of Fox Star Studios Vijay Singh supporting the claim stated that "The songs were instant hits as soon as they were launched across radio, music-streaming sites and mobile network platforms. Two songs are among the top seven on radio, while the others are getting increasingly popular."
‘Ter Jhuki nazar’, ‘Jaata hai’ and ‘Mat aazma re’ are the three songs that are hit with the masses and composed by Pritam. The entire album of ‘Murder 3’ contains 7 songs in total, out of which 3 are composed by Pritam, 3 remixes and 1 created by the Roxen band. Our dear old music whizz kid Pritam is back with a bang in this album.
‘Ter Jhuki Nazar’ is easily the best piece of music in the album. The music of the song has a comfortable lazy feel to it and the singer Shafqat Amanat Ali has done a wonderful job. The beautiful song also has a film version in the album which is popularly known as remix.
‘Mat aazma re’ is sung by KK in his own inimitable style. The song has used a generous dose of violin and is catchy in some parts. It is sure to catch the attention of the listeners.
"Jaata Hai Tujh Tak" is sung by Nikhil D'Souza. This is a dance number and has the spirit of celebration. It is already a hit in the discos around the country. The song also has a film version or remix with little changes in the lyrics.
The song "Hum Jee Lenge" is
composed by Roxen band and sung by Mustafa Zahid. The use of guitar is
extensive in the song. However the music fails to make a mark and doesn’t
impress. The song also has a Rock version with intense rock elements that doesn’t
actually sooth the ears.
