Mere Brother Ki DulhanYash Raj banner new offering, ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ is a fun filled romantic comedy the music of which is helmed by Sohail Khan. Sohail is a hot favorite of director Ashutosh Gowariker. He composed songs for not so hit, ‘What’s Your Rashee’ and ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se’.  If he wants to firm his foot in the music world then he needs to show his potential in ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’. It is a life time opportunity for Sohail.  Marriage issue gives ample opportunity for the music director to compose and deliver a soothing album. The subject is music oriented. The lyrics of the movie have been penned by Irshad Kamil.

The album has altogether 6 songs and sung by singers like KK, Neha Bhasin, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Sreeramchandra etc . The album is a blend of hip-hop, romantic, comic and disco number.

The album opens with the title song, ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ sung by KK. The song is quite instrumental. It is a fasted, paced sassy number.  The lyrics is quite enchanting where a brother hunts for a perfect dulhan for his brother. It is a fun filled number where many youngsters groove into it. The song also excels in picturization.

The next track is equally enjoyable having a rockster feel. Neha Basin’s has delivered an ear-soothing number, ‘Dhunki’ is high in instrumental. The song has been sung for Katrina Kaif and she dons a rockstar avatar. It is a blend of traditional and modern music. The song is playing in every music channel and is generating lot of buzz.

Newcomers Benny Dayal and Aditi Singh Sharma, lend their powerful voice for ‘Choomantar’. It is a humming number, sassy, the music will take sometime to make a place in your heart. It is a high pitched song, making the most use of piano. It is club number.

The fourth track of the album is ‘Isq Risk’. After some fast paced number, a slow track comes. It has a sufi version sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. It has a calm feeling, quite melodious and on hearing you can make out that this a Sohail Khan’s composition. It has a touch of quawali also. The musical arrangement is marvelous.

Next that follows 'Isq Risk’ is ‘Risky Mix, crooned by Sreeramachandra, Neha Bhasin and Joshilay. It is a dance number that fires the dance floor. Irshad Kamil’s wordings make a mark here.

The next offering is ‘Madhubala’ sung by Shweta Pandit. It is masti number with full of energy. It has a desi beat, reminds one the feeling of 70’s music.

The last but not the least number is ‘Do Dhaari Talwaar' sung by Shahid Mallya and Shweta Pandit. It is fast number having a Punjabi touch. It is a foot tapping number highly instrumental.

On the whole, the music of ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ is packed with good and average tracks. In the coming days, it will acquire a good position. The music might contribute to the film’s success.
