Fun2shh - Music Review

Desi Jumanji enters the frame in a comical stuff. This is a rib tickling comedy, juxtaposing the civilizations of 10th century and 21st century. 'Fun2shh..' dudes in the 10th century is made under the banner of Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Pvt Ltd. Paresh Rawal , the comedy king, is back in a wackiest comedy of the year. He leads the brigade of snappy dudes. Imitiaz Punjabi directs the film. A hilarious adventurous comedy revolves around three happy go lucky guys--Johny (Paresh Rawal), Ajju (Anuj Sawhney) and Vikram (debutant Iqbal Khan). Paresh Rawal, a comical genius, is back in action with Anuj Sawhney and Iqbal Khan. Anuj Sawhney who was last seen in 'Nayee Padosan', teams up with new talent Iqbal Khan to play the romantic lead. The major part of the film was shot on specially constructed sets in Film City in Mumbai. New music composer Prittam Chakravarthy has composed six compositions in the album.

Amitabh Verma, Mayur Puri, Praveen Raj, Vivek Philip,Nitin Raikwar, Pravin Raj and Arya write the hilarious and sentimental lyrics. After a long time Usha Uthup has come in her true color. In the album she renders the theme track. To add to his histrionics, Paresh Rawal along with Anuj Saxsena and Iqbal Khan tries his vocal chord in the composition "Time Kharab Hai". Prittam Chakravarthy's music is loud and boisterous.

The album opens up with the best composition of the album "Dhuan Dhuan". After "Dola Re" we are witnessing another colorful song by female duo. Chitra and Sanjivini in this soft sensuous number. Prittam's music is soft and sentimental. The voice of Chitra and Sanjivini melts like honey in ears. Lyrics of Amitabh Verma and Vivek Philip are colorfully passionate.

"Time Kharab Hai" is fun loving song sung by a line- up of actors and singers. A prankster song depicting the hope and aspirations of young genre. Besides Paresh Rawal and Co. Farida Jalal too sings the song. Sonu Nigam and Sudesh Bhonsle are the lead singers. Sonu Nigam impresses, but Sudesh Bhonsle sounds ordinary. A situational song with lots of fun and humour.

The theme track of 'Fun2shh.' comes in two versions. It's a surprise that the second version appears before the first version. An upcoming singer Kunal Ganjawala sings this version. Pravin Raj's lyrics are ordinary. Prittam's music is catchy.

The fancy composition of the album 'Hold (You will be mine)' is a fun loving song sung by the hottest singing sensation of the pop genre Shaan and K.K. A song with the backdrop of Goan folk promises a good entertainer. The song is sung with full zeal and thrust. The lyrics are rather complicated.

The title song of the film "Hum Hai Funtoosh" appears in the album in the voices of Vinod Rathore, Nitin Raikwar and Kunal Ganjawani. The song has the signature tune of the film. Nitin Raikwar's lyrics are raunchy with a tinge of fun and laughter.

The first version of the theme track appears in the voices of Usha Uthup and Arya. Usha Uthup after a long hibernation excels in a theme track of a fun loving film. This is a well niche album with lots of colorful compositions.
