Aa Dekhen Zara - Music Review
Music director Pritam Chakraborty hardly disappoints his audience. Expectations from Aa Dekhen Zara is also very high as it is coming from his book and at the same time grooving to the songs is Bong bombshell Bipasha Basu who is also known to be associated with some hit music. Jehangir Surti’s Aa Dekhen Zara has Sanjay Dutt’s 'Rocky' connection. The tracks promise to be exciting. Making singing debut with the film is blue-eyed boy, Neil Nitin Mukesh.
Every category of music is present in Aa Dekhen Zara, fast, slow, disco, hip-hop and also includes other variety. Joining Pritam in framing the music is Gourav Dasgupta. As the film is a thriller, the fast dance tracks, party number are more appropriate than soft tune and as Pritam excels in this field, the anticipation from the album of Aa Dekhen Zara is also soaring high. There are altogether five tracks crooned by singers like Dibyendu, Sunidhi Chauhan and Aakriti. Here is a gist of the songs.
Aa Dekhen Zara – The title track of the film ‘Aa Dekhen Zara’ is full of energy. It takes you back to the days of Rocky when Sanjay Dutt grooved on this hit number. No sooner, the track starts; you will feel like shaking your body. Bips and Neil groove with this song played in pub. The song is present in two versions. One is very fast while the other is in the slower mode. Neil lends his voice for the fast number and Dibyendu Mukherjee croons the slower version. The later one is more captivating.
Gazab - Pritam Chakraborty appears into the scene and set the dance floor on fire. It is a hip-hop number, totally peppy and full of youthfulness. It is a club number with western beats. It cannot be touted exceptional and can be played when one is in party and full of masti mood. Music, dance, drinks is the perfect combination of the song. The song sounds average in the voice of Sunidhi Chauhan and Shaan.
Mohabbat Aapse – The third track of the film is romantic. Well penned by Irshad Kamil and the song sounds melodious and soulful in the voice of Akriti Kakkar. It will take you to the deep sea of love and the track sounds superb. Pritam’s composition is remarkable here and can be played repeated number of times. After the title track, the song that will impress you will be Mohabbat Aapse.
Rock The Party – It is a rocking number crooned by Sunidhi Chauhan. It is another fast number with western beats incorporated in it. The song is purely situational and describes the situation of the protagonist. It cannot be touted exceptional but sounds like any other club number. It will not have desired effect on the audience.
Power – The last track of the flick ‘Power’ sounds quite ordinary and has a feeling of ‘already heard before’. It is a track where beats ruled more and most likely a background score that finds place in several situations.
Overall, the music of Aa Dekhen Zara is average. As it has mostly disco numbers, it will appeal only a particular age group. Seemingly, fail to hit the chartbusters.
