When Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na unveils, you will get many scopes to compare it with many other romantic films because the film resembles many other love stories of Bollywood. It is an ordinary teenager love story told in a totally new, refreshing manner. Ingredients are same but cooked in a different style. It has a Kuch Kuck Hota Hai, Ishq Vishk flavor but feel is special and exclusive. The film is comparable with other film in many aspects but at the same time makes you to sense novelty. Since it is a Aamir Khan’s product, expectation and inquisitiveness is much higher. Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na is a light-hearted story basically deals with the life style and feelings of the youth. How they define love and how they realize that they are truly in love is the main theme of the film. The end of the story is quite predictable and one need not have to crack their mind to forecast the conclusion and therefore challenge lies on that fact as how the debutante director Abbas Tyrewala has told the ordinary story in an extraordinary style. Imran Khan and Genelia D Souza are best suited for the role and the film is top notch in terms of presentation, music and acting. As seen in the promos and posters, there are six guys Jai Singh Rathore (Imran Khan), Aditi (Genelia), Jignesh Patel (Nirav Mehta), Sandhya (Aliskha Varde), Shaleen (Sughanda) and Rotlu (Karan) but it mainly focused on two main protagonists Jai (Imran Khan) and Aditi (Genelia). They like other friends play, make fun, fight with each other but they are ignorant about the fact that they had a soft corner for one another. Except them, all their friends aware of the truth that they are made for each other. Even their parents Jayant Kripalani and Anuradha Patel (Aditi’s parents) and Jai’s parents know very well that they are the perfect match. Jai and Aditi only realize their feeling when they happen to connect with someone else. Aditi got engaged to Ayaz Khan and Jai finds Manjari. When a third person arrived in their life, they got to realize the importance of each other and soon discover the fact that they can’t live separately. And as everyone desires, there is a happy ending. Speaking about the performances, Imran and Genelia sizzles together. Imran as a newcomer is fabulous. His acting is power packed. Genelia is an excellent actress. Her acting and dialogue delivery is spontaneous. Full marks to them. Paresh Rawal is as usual superb. Naseeruddin Shah is ok, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan are wasted. The work of the director requires special mention. Abbas Tyrewala deserves great kudos and he can expect call from a big production house. His piece of work is mind-blowing. Music by AR Rehman is remarkable and cinematography is excellent. On the whole, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na will do a profitable business. The film mainly aims to the youth and therefore it will drag more young generation to the theatre. The film is not extraordinary but a complete entertaining. It may not work well with the older section. It cannot be regarded exceptional but can be touted as fun watching.
