Sudhir Misha’s name is associated with unique storyline and the example is Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron (writer), Hazaaron Khwahishein Aisi (director/writer), Is Raat Ki Subha Nahin (director/writer). This time he brings into forefront the harassment in the workplace which is quite relevant in present day but till date no filmmaker has brought the issue in the vanguard.
Arjun Rampal and Chitrangada Singh starrer ‘Inkaar’ is a well promoted film. The movie has been able to woo the audience; its sensuality and content attract the audience to the cinema theatres. It is a well crafted script and the story is told in a very interesting manner. This is the first time Arjun Rampal has been paired opposite Chitrangada Singh and since both the actors are rides high on style and performance, expectation from the movie has been sky high. ‘Inkaar’ reflects the present society and so the craze for the movie is very high.
Rahul Verma (Arjun Rampal) is the CEO of a big advertising agency and Maya Luthra (Chitrangada Singh) is a budding copywriter. Rahul, Maya’s boss takes her under his wings and teaches her how to make big in the ad world. Eventually, both come closer and later Maya accused her boss Rahul of sexual harassment. In the flashbacks, it shows that Rahul inherit this habits to due to his hard work and the values he inherited from his father.
Maya is an ambitious small town girl. She met Rahul in an advertising festival and highly impressed with Maya, Rahul offered her a job in his office in Mumbai. Highly delighted Maya leaves her hometown for Mumbai.
Rahul tutors Maya and nurtures her to get to the post of the National Creative Head of the same agency. Soon they both come close on a business trip to Thailand. What follows later is a story full of suspense, drama, contradictions and conflicts. Maya blames Rahul for sexually harassing her and Rahul blames Maya for using her sexual charm to rise to the ladder of success.
Speaking about performances, Arjun Rampal charms as a corporate head. His attitude, style and performance proved that Arjun Rampal is a real gem in the world of acting. His outstanding performance has put a seal in the mouth of the critics who criticized Arjun’s performance. This is Arjun’s best performance so far. On the other hand, Chitrangada Singh steals the show. The supporting actors - Vipin Sharma, Deepti Naval and Gaurav Dwivedi have also performed brilliantly.
As far as music of the film is concerned, Shantanu Moitra's
music has done full justice to the movie. The background score heightens the
impact of the movie. Songs like 'Maula tu malik hai', 'Darmiyan', etc., are
really harmonious to hear.
In the nutshell, ‘Inkaar’ is a water-tight script. It
is very entertaining and audience especially the people working in the corporate
world would definitely relate to it.
