Ghost - Movie Review
‘Ghost’ is a horror film starring Shiney Ahuja and Sayali Bhagat in the lead. The film has been edited and directed by Puja Jatinder Bedi. The film has many loopholes which make the film worst watching. Two controversial actors Shiney and Sayali returns to acting after making many gossips. ‘Ghost’ is not at all scary movie. The film proves a total letdown with naïve screenplay and direction.
The director tried to make it scary with low lighting, cracking sound of doors, footsteps but it turned out to be a mere funny moments.
Sayali Bhagat plays Dr. Suhani who works in a City Hospital. In this hospital works a nurse named Lea who is murdered in a very gruesome manner. The murderer left no clue and no evidence was found that could help in tracing the murderer. There was not even a single eyewitness. Dr. Saxena (Deep Raj Rana), who loves Lea was also found very horribly murdered in his house.
Vijay Singh (Shiney Ahuja), the chief investigation officer has been appointed to solve the murder mystery. In a few days, another doctor has been found gruesomely murdered. The body of all the three was badly damaged. After extensive investigation, no evidence of the murderer was found and the killer could not be traced.
Dr. Suhani suspects the presence of some unnatural force but Vijay Singh contradicts. During the process of investigation, Vijay falls in love with Suhani. How they come to know about the existence of the supernatural powers and what lead all such murders forms the rest of the story.
Dialogues and direction penned by Puja Jatinder Bedi are very inexperienced. Speaking about performances, Shiney Ahuja was just ok. Sayali Bhagat is average. Her dialogue delivery is not at all impressive. Julia is ordinary. Deep Raaj Rana performs effectively. Manish Upadhyay, Sandip Soparrkar is mediocre.
Background music, scored by Raju Singh, is very normal. Prem Sharma’s stunts are ordinary. Visual effects are truly common.
In the nutshell, ‘Ghost’ is truly unimpressive. It is not at all scary. The film is very dull. On the whole, a very poor show.
