Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?

It is usually said, ‘Athiti Debo Bhavo’ but when guests get into your nerve, you are bound to say, ‘Athiti Tum Kab Jaoge?’ Athiti is a comic affair, very light hearted comedy. This film will give you the charm of filmmaker Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Basu Chatterjee’s films like Chupke Chupke, Golmaal, Chitchor or Khatta Meetha. On watching the film, you will relate to the scene. The dialogues are comic and scenes are hilarious. The film is simple, clean and enjoyable.

Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge reflects the reality of life. It shows how guests are looked upon in today’s hurried life. Situation becomes more horrible when the guest is uninvited and comes from a rural area. When your guest invades your privacy, you feel like dragging him out of your house. You become more frustrated when the period of stay of your guest lingers to unlimited period of time.

The story speaks about an urban family. Puneet [Ajay Devgn] and Munmun [Konkona] are happily married couple in Mumbai. They have a son. Their life was like any other metro family. They are confined to themselves and remain busy in their own small world. They received a big shock when an uninvited guest Lamobodar Chachaji (Paresh Rawal) landed in their house and making a chaos everywhere. He is from a far off village and not at all acquainted with the living style of the city.

He makes a mess of every sophisticated thing in the house. From bathroom to their bedroom, Lamobodar uncle captures their privacy, luxury and freedom. Life becomes a hell for the couple. Due to the troubled uncle, Puneet loses his job and Munmun lost her sleep. How the couple deal with their uneducated uncle and how they get rid of their uncle forms the rest of the story.

There are lots of devotional sides which the Indian community will like the most.

Director Ashwni Dhir’s handling of the script is flawless. His way of dealing with the comic, emotional, high and low portions of the film is complimentary. Aseem Bajaj's camerawork is top-class. Dialogues by Ashwni Dhir are outstanding. Most of the Pritam's music in this film is ordinary and devotional but the songs are situational.

Speaking about the performances, Ajay Devgan is outstanding. In the recent times, he has evolved as a comic actor. ‘’All The Best’, ‘Golmaal’ are an example of his comedy genius. Konkona is natural and up to her character. Paresh Rawal is first rate. He rules throughout and his comic timing is mind blowing.  Akhilendra Mishra, Mukesh Tiwari and Viju Khote are fine. Sanjay Mishra is supreme.

On the whole, Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge is a family drama, a laughter riot and a good time pass. The film will not dishearten you and will offer you full masti. Go and watch the film with your close ones.
