Action Replayy
To recreate the magic of the past era is not an easy task and director Vipul Amrutlal Shah has taken the huge responsibility on his shoulder to style his characters, script a story which resemblance the past. He has included both humor and romance in the script. It is a light-hearted film that offers full entertainment. Don’t try to find any logic out of the film, just hold your seat, have pop corn in one hand and cola on the other and enjoy the film which shows the past in the present days.
In the past, several times we were told and shown the concept of time machine. In the recent period, many films were made that goes back to the past or goes to the future but ‘Action Replayy’ despite having the same concept was executed differently.
Bunty (Aditya Roy Kapur) loves Tanya but when Tanya raise marriage issue, Bunty just avoids as he has witnessed the disastrous marriage of his parents, Kishen [
Bunty felt a jerk when Tanya’s grandfather Anthony Gonsalves [Randhir Kapoor] asked him to marry Tanya soon or stop seeing her. To live happily forever after marriage, Bunty decided to rotate the time clock anticlockwise and rewrite Kishen and Mala’s love affairs and inflict some love in their heart.
Bunty used the time machine invented by professor Anthony Gonsalves. He rotates the clock and could see his parents in the 70’s. He saw that they were children of rivals. Kishen’s father Rai Bahadur [
Bunty decided to undertake an impossible task. First, he will inject love into Mala’s and Kishen’s heart for each other and then convince their parents to get their children married.
‘Action Replayy’ is convincing, could impress his audience. The film would be far more interesting if the some extra effort be put on the screenplay.
Music by Pritam was ear-soothing and foot-tapping, especially, ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’, O Bekhabar’ and Nakhre’. Sejal Shah's cinematography is alright. Salim-Sulaiman's background score was convincing.
