Wanted - Movie Preview
The music of Salman Khan’s new release ‘Wanted’ which is a Tamil remake of superhit film ‘Pokiri’ is out in the music stores and the music of the film is getting a mixed response. Music composer Sajid-Wajid has been assigned to compose Boney Kapoor’s ‘Wanted’ directed by Prabhudeva.
Wajid, Amrita Kak, Kamaal Khan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Suzanne D'Mello, Shaan, Shreya Ghosal, Soumya Raoh, Hrishikesh Kamerkar, Nikita Nigam, Earl and Salman Khan landed their voice. There are altogether seven songs each of different types. Soft, disco, romantic, are included in the album. The music sounds lacks freshness and so cannot be touted exceptional, it has a feeling of heard-before.
Sajid-Wajid always turns out big for Salman Khan, ‘Partner’ and ‘Mujse Shaadi Karoge’ are their hit combination but they fail to deliver the same for ‘Wanted’. Here is the gist of the songs.
Love Me Love Me – This songs has been played on channels as a promotional song. It is a fast number starring Salman Khan and Ayesha Takia and gaining much momentum. Wajid and Amrita Kak are the voices behind the song. In this song, drum beats are more promising and is basically a pub number with zig-zag beats. This track is not deviated from the normal but repeated hearing may generate love for the song.
Ishq Vishq – Kamal Khan who created magic with ‘O O Jaane Jaana’ (Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya) dates back is back with the song ‘Ishq Vishq’ written by Sameer. While Suzanne and Sunidhi Chauhan sung for the female lead. This is also a fast number with western arrangements. The song sounds mediocre and some percentage of audience may like the song. It is again a peppy, disco number.
Dil Leke – ‘Dil Leke’ by Shaan and Shreya Ghosal is purely romantic and a soft number. The duo has been exceptional in rendering romantic number and this is much better than two above mentioned song. There is a softness and gentle breeze and has less electronic beats. But its remix version is not enthralling like the original one.
Le Le Mazaa Le – This song is not the usual kind of Hindi song. It has a Spanish as well as Arabic mixture. It won’t have any soothing effect other than a pale number, no thrill no grill, it is another pass number sung by Saumaya Rao, Hrishikesh Kamerkar and Nikita Nigam with lyrics by Wajid and Shaabir Ahmed.
Jalwa – This number is sung by composer Wajid along with Earl. It reminds of the songs of 70s and 80s. It is a peppy number not at all catchy, very dull and boring.
Tose Pyar Karte Hai – ‘Tose Pyar Karte Hai’ is a Bhojpuri track and Wajid and Sunidhi Chauhan have landed their voice. It is a perfect desi number and Salman Khan is expected to groove on the desi beats. It is nothing extraordinary.
Most Wanted Track – The title track ‘Most Wanted’ comes with a few Salman Khan’s dialogue. Usually the title track used to be very catchy but the Most Wanted track sounds very ordinary and disgusting to hear.
On the whole, the album of ‘Wanted’ will not appeal the music goers and is rated very poor.
