Tees Maar Khan - Movie Preview

Tees Maar KhanFarah Khan has a good knowledge and taste in music. The music of her films never goes without creating impact. If we remember, ‘Main Hoon Naa’ and ‘Om Shanti Om’, both the films have a good sound track. For her third film, she has given the task of composing the music to Vishal-Shekhar. The year has been good for the composer duo as ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ and ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ was liked by the music lovers. Hope, they end up the year with a good note.

Since the film is slated for Christmas release and also New Year is just after it, some dhamaka is expected from the album. Speaking about the stars, the film is bringing Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif as a pair again and history speaks that they are always associated with films containing some good and thrilling music.

The album opens with the title track, ‘Tees Maar Khan’. This song is doing all over the channels and because of its different treatment, it is getting good reviews. Sonu Nigam crooned the song. The song is highly instrumental and Shirish Kunder has written the song. ‘Dhol’ beats is quite prominent. It’s a foot-tapping number and has an intriguing feel.

The second track is an item song picturized on the lead heroine Katrina Kaif. The song goes as ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’. This song is in the news for its sensuous appeal. It is also compared with item songs, ‘Beedi Jalaile’ and ‘Munni Badnaam’. Kat has toned her body to look hot in the song. She draped her with a cloth and surrounded by some young boys. Versatile singer Sunidhi Chauhan has sung the number. The music is electrifying and hopes it makes a new record smashing all the records of the old item numbers.

Next track sings, ‘Wallah Re Wallah’. Qawalli seems to be a must factor in Farah Khan’s film. She had 'Tumse Milke Dil Ka' [Main Hoon Naa] or 'Deewangee' [Om Shanti Om] and now repeating the same formula, she has included a qawalli number in ‘Tees Maar Khan’ also. In this song, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif matching steps with Salman Khan who is making a special appearance in the song. The song does not have instant effect on the listeners like ‘Tumse’ or ‘Deewange’ but it requires repeated hearing to absorb and enjoy. Here singers like Shekhar Ravjiani, Kamal Khan, Raja Hasan and Shreya Ghoshal’s magical voice leaves mark. Hope, this song also makes a chartbuster.

Next in the offering is 'Badey Dilwala' which is a blend of Hindi and English lyrics. Written by Advita Dutt, the song is situational and talks about the film. Sukhvinder Singh is the lead singer but Shreya Ghoshal also leaves her mark and the combination of the two sounds superb. In some portion, Shreya modulates her voice and the variation was awesome.

Prajakta Shukre, Harshit Saxena, Abhijeet Sawant and Debojit Saha - some of the major singers of the talent hunt musical show, ‘Saregamapa’ comes together to croon this thrilling number titled, ‘Happy Ending’. It is a fun number which signifies all is well.

In the nutshell, the album of ‘Tees Maar Khan’ has few picks. It sounds average. Hope, it contributes to the film’s success.
