Salaam-E-Ishq is the story of six couples and their life stories. Each of these couples is living their lives to the fullest unaware of the other’s existence. However fate has other things in store for them, they are destined to meet and how they meet and how their lives are intertwined forms the crux of Salaam-E-Ishq. After directing the blockbuster Kal Ho Na Ho, Nikhil Advani is back and will be showcasing his talent once again in this multi-starrer. The film stars Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Anjana Sukhani, Vidya Balan, John Abraham, Akshaye Khanna, Ayesha Takia, Govinda, Shannon Esrechowitz, Sohail Khan and Perizaad Zorabian. The music has been composed by Shankar Mahadevan, Loy Mendonsa and Ehsaan Noorani and the lyrics have been written by Sameer.
Tehzeeb (Vidya Balan) and Ashutosh (John Abraham) are a happily married couple. The two eloped two years back and tied the knot. They live in the busy cosmopolitan Mumbai and both are in the media field. Tehzeeb is a field reporter while Ashu is a film editor and though both of them lead hectic lives they always make time for each other. This morning Tehzeeb awakens and finds a beautiful diamond pendant by her bedside as an anniversary gift from her loving husband. A couple very much in love, who can’t seem to stay away from each other, but the ultimate test of their love is soon going to take place. An accident involving Tehzeeb occurs which puts Ashu’s love for his wife to the ultimate test. Will this couple be able to survive this incident, will their love survive it?
