Maan Gaye Mughall-E-Azam - Movie Preview

Maan Gaye Mughall-E-AzamDirector Sanjay Chhel is a comedy genius. The uniqueness of his script is that he always tries to convey a message though comically approach and in Maangaye Mughalle Azam also he has done the same. The result is not fruitful but he has incorporated a lot of humor and fun. In one shot, he has spoken about terrorism, Theatre Company and love triangle. It opens up with high momentum of humor but the percentage of comedy tend downward as it proceeds further. Humor and wit in the film is highly commendable and make one to laugh and giggle.

All the hype that is surrounding the movie is due to sexy Mallika Sherawat. Her portrayal of Anarkali catapult interest and after Pyaar Ke Side Effects, Rahul and Mallika’s chemistry has become the most wanted one. Synchronization is missing in the script and moreover the combination of terrorist group and Drama Company is something difficult to correlate.

It is a modern day mad comedy, speaks about a small drama company comprising of Mallika Sherewat and Paresh Rawal. The company gets involved in a deadly mission of rescuing the country from a terrorist group who has install RDX to destroy the peace and harmony of the country. Mallika Sherewat and Paresh Rawal with their troops perform everywhere. Rahul Bose is a secret agent who has been assigned with the job to uninstall the RDX and for that mission he has been sent to St. Louise. Arjun loves plays and in free time he watches theatre made by Kalakar Theatre Company.

On watching those plays, Rahul falls in love with Mallika, the lead actress of the drama. He ropes in Mallika, Paresh Rawal and the entire drama company in his mission of detecting the RDX and to intercept it. Right from the starting and up to the execution of the project, the journey is filled with humor and thrill. At last, the mission has been carried out successfully.

In spite of all the masalas and flavors, the film turned out to be an average. Anu Malik's music is soulless. Except the title track, the remaining numbers are simply odd ones. Madhu Ambat's cinematography is just ok.

Speaking about the performances, Paresh Rawal and Mallika Sherawat ruled throughout the film. Their performances are up to the mark. Rahul Bose who typecast as intense actor also fared well. Pawan Malhotra is in his best. Tanaaz. Manoj and Zakir Hussain did not get much scope to enact.

On the whole, Maan Gaye Mughall-E-Azam is an average show. The collection at the box-office will not be much promising. We can just say one thing to Sanjay Chhel, better try next time.
