Krrish is a sequel to Koi Mil Gaya, it is produced and directed by Rakesh Roshan and Rajesh Roshan is the composer. The star of the film is none other than Rakesh Roshan’s son, Hrithik Roshan and the female lead is played by Priyanka Chopra.
The story takes off from where Koi Mil Gaya ends, after jadoo leaves Rohit (Hrithik) and goes back to space, he and Nisha (Preity Zinta) get married. They have a son Krrish and they are happy. But fate intervenes and tragedy strikes, Rohit and Preity die in a car accident.
Krrish is devastated, but once again his grand mom, (Rekha) gives him all the love and affection and brings him up single handedly like she did for his father. Krrish slowly learns that he has supernatural powers which he has inherited from his father. Rohit had received this gift from Jadoo. Krrish grows up into a strong, handsome, intelligent man who is gifted with wonderful powers. He loves peace, quiet and tranquility which he gets from the surrounding nature and mountains. In spite of his gift, all he wants from life is peace and love.
Krrish got love too; he falls in love with Priya (Priyanka Chopra) who has come to camp and trek in the nearby hills where he lives. It was definitely love at first sight for Krrish; he loved her sweet smile, her innocent face and her intense beauty. She made him understand what true love is. However after a while it’s time for Priya to go back home to Singapore. Krrish is sad and lonely. On seeing her grandson’s desolation, his grand mom asks him to go to Singapore, win Priya’s heart and get his love.
Krrish reaches Singapore, love is the reason he has come, but soon he will have another purpose to remain here, perhaps a greater cause a bigger responsibility. Singapore is exactly the opposite of the place where he lives. It is fast paced, with the hustle and bustle of people and traffic, a far cry from the tranquil mountains. But his loving and warm nature makes him adjust to this new surrounding. He makes a few friends in this new city and with their help he manages to find Priya, now he woos her and they finally fall in love.
The two lovers are enjoying themselves and attend a carnival where everyone has worn different masks. In the midst of all the song and dance, an accident occurs, a circus tent catches fire due to a short circuit and several of the performers get trapped inside. Krrish knows that he can save all of them because of his superhero powers. But he does not want anyone to recognize him, so he dons a mask and heroically rescues all of them.
He becomes the hero of the nation, everyone is talking about him, about who he is and where is he. Everyone is curious and wants to find this masked man. Now Krrish’s problems begin as he has to play superhero time and again, and now he has the greatest responsibility and burden, the duty to save the world. To save the world from the powerful and evil Naseeruddin Shah.
