Heroes - Movie Preview

HeroesRarely, we get a combination of stars like Preity Zinta, Salman Khan, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol in one platform. A film of power packed stars truly deserves a powerful and ear-soothing music. With this aim in mind, two music composers Sajid-Wajid and Saawariya genius Monty Sharma has been roped in. History shows that Salman and Sajid-Wajid combination has always done well and has hit the chartbusters couple of times and again the amalgamation is expected to shine bright. But the graph of Sajid-Wajid and Monty’s blend in Chamku shows that their pairing bombed at the box-office.

Let’s see whether Samir Karnik's Heroes may set a new record or not. The task of penning the lyrics has been given to Jalees Sherwani and Rahul.B.Seth.  Jalees has written for Sajid-Wajid while Rahul for Monty. Sajid-Wajid already created a niche in Bollywood but Monty Sharma has still to prove himself. Unfortunately after Saawariya, none of his music boomed. Therefore, he is in urgent need of one hit. Come on; let’s check it out the music of Heroes. There are altogether five songs; the fourth one is a musical notation.

The album opens with ‘Mannata’, crooned by Sonu Nigam and Kavita Krishnamurthy. After a long hiatus, we will get to hear from Sonu and Kavita together. It’s a Sajid-Wajid product that has a different feeling. Music is yielding and the flute notes give a tranquil touch to it. The song completely suits the voice of the two melodious singers. It has that spice to attract the audience. It will be played for a long time. The song has full of romanticism and its picturization on Salman and Preity will further intensify the thrill. Its instrumental version that is titled 'Lover's Paradise' is also quite mesmerizing.

The second track of the flick, 'Wat's Up My Bro' has been crooned by Kunal Ganjawala. Kunal who has mesmerized the music lover with his lively voice is back with this western lyric song. His high-pitched voice suits to this jovial song to the maximum. Monty Sharma has made use of all electrifying instruments like keyboards, saxophones, and violin. The outcome was fabulous. Singer Shail Hada provides support to Kunal’s voice.

Sajid-Wajid’s third composition ‘Makhna’ has a Punjabi flavor. Salman has already received many remarkable comments for his Punjabi looks and when he will dance to this Bhangra song, the excitement will be thrice. Bhangra king Sukhwinder Singh has been roped to croon this stirring number, joining him will be Soumya Rao and Wajid. The song cannot be touted exceptional and may not turn out to be a favorable product.

The album ends with 'Badmash Launde'. On listening the lyrics, we will definitely feel that it is a teasing number where Preity will chase the boys and tease them for pampering girls. Talented Shail Hada and Parthiv Gohil sung for male voce while Rekha Rao will sing for the female voice. Three new talents were given the task to croon this teasing number. The lyrics include lots of funny elements. The song is mediocre on hearing and its lifetime is too short.

The Heroes Theme serves like an icing on the cake. It gives one peace and harmony, quite pleasant hearing. It is an advantage of Heroes.

On the whole, the music of Heroes is average. The album will be played only for sometime. It cannot be touted exceptional and will be heard by some sections only. It will not have universal appeal. The music will have zero contribution in making the film hit.
