Cash is an all out action film revolving around cops and robbers. After Dhoom 2, this film is another one to watch out for with its amazing special effects, stylish and glossy look and beautiful locations of Cape Town. The film belongs to the genre of action thrillers and has been directed by Anubhav Sinha. The film is a multi starrer and stars Ajay Devgan, Shamita Shetty, Ritesh Deshmukh, Zayed Khan, Esha Deol, Dia Mirza, Suniel Shetty etc. The plot revolves around a heist dealing with diamonds.
Ajay Devgan plays a shrewd con-man who has pulled of several successful heists. However no one is aware of his true identity, not even his girlfriend Shamita Shetty who is the Head of Security at the Indian embassy in Cape Town in spite of living with him. Hence he treads a cautious path and keeps his identity undisclosed. Ajay has pulled off many heists, but his most challenging one is yet to come. And it finally appears when he is pitted against his girlfriend. Shamita being the head of security has to oversee the security and protection of a precious diamond stone being transported and Ajay’s job is to break that security. But how will he manage this when Shamita is herself protecting the diamond. To help him with this heist Ajay enlists the help f two other con-artists, Ritesh and Zayed.
There are many parties waiting to get their hands on these diamonds. The diamonds have a rare history of how they surfaced and how it came to be with the Indian embassy. It was rumoured that there were three diamonds, while two were found and acquired by the mafia; nobody was able to locate the third diamond. The underworld mafia is also involved in the diamond heist. The third diamond invariably came to be with the embassy through various channels and now the mafia wants its third diamond back. Suniel Shetty, a mafia don is also involved in this game. Some how the small time con-artists Ajay, Ritesh and Zayed get involved in the diamond heist and invariably they turn into suspects, however they have been made into scapegoats and they will do anything to prove themselves. The film is set for a late July release.
