Anjaana Anjaani - Movie Preview
The album of ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ starring Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor is out in the market and the rush for the album is noticeable. After the success of ‘I Hate Luv Storys’, Vishal-Shekhar again comes with the new offering. When it comes to youngsters, Vishal-Shekhar knows well what the young generation wants. They catch the perfect taste of the youth. The music of ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ is peppy, youthful, disco, romantic and above all enthralling.
In the past, Siddharth Anand and Vishal-Shekhar combination offers us some wonderful album like ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’, Tara Rum Pum’ and Salaam Namaste’. Also Sajid Nadiadwala never compromises anything with good music. The music of his films used to be very musical and high in beats and so with ‘Anjaana Anjaani’. It has altogether seven tracks. Each one is entertaining and full of life. So, here it goes.
The first track of the album is ‘Tumse Hi Tumse’ sung by Shekhar Ravjiani and Caralisa Monterio. The music has some English portion which is sung beautifully and with full feeling by Caralisa. The Hindi and English portion was well sung. The song is high in beats and is a modern day romantic number which speaks about heart in a very casual way. Lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya and Anvita Dutt with Caralisa Monteiro writing the English portion are outstanding.
In the second track, ‘Aas Pass Khuda’, we can feel the magic of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The song is little low in music. It has a feel good effect and very well depicts the condition of one’s heart. It has an intriguing effect and soothing to the ear. As it is crooned by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, it obviously has a Sufi effect. Shruti Pathak sung the female version and the combination of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shruti sounds amazing.
Next comes the title track, ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ crooned by Shilpa Rao and Vishal Dadlani. Compared to the other, it is a slow-track. It starts with slow motions but soon catches speed. Very much instrumental and the lyrics speak about two strangers and how they fell in love with each other. The song falls in the line of ‘Khuda Jaane’ from Bachna Ae Haseeno.
Next offering of Vishal Shekhar is ‘I Feel Good’. Like the title, the film has a feel good effect. Vishal and Shilpa again go behind the mike to croon this Hindi, English blend song. It sounds like a disco number, high on beats and highly instrumental. It’s a rocking number.
The next track goes as ‘Tujhe Bhula Diya’. It is a sentimental, melancholy outing comes straight from he heart and touches the perfect chord of heart. Started by Shilpa Rao, carries forward by Mohit Chauhan and adding the quwalli flavor by Shekhar Ravijiani is what makes the song good to hear. It also has a sufi touch.
The next track of the album is ‘Anjaana Anjaani Ki Kahani’ sung by Monali Thakur and Nikhil D’ Souza. Monali’s fussy voice and Nikhil’s husky voice purely suits the song. It is a club number, highly instrumental and electrifying. It tells the story as how one anjaana meets with his anjaani. High on beats, the song is a perfect party number. It is running on many TV channels as a promo.
Last but not the least is the song ‘Hairat’ crooned by Lucky Ali. After a long gap, we will get to hear Lucky. Considering his age, we cannot think that he can sing according to the youngsters choice but he has again showed his talent to sing as per the youth’s choice. The lyrics and music of the song is unique. It is also rocking number but full of life and energy.
In the nutshell, Vishal-Shekhar has again scored hat-trick with the film. The music will be a strong point of the movie. There are few picks that can make way to the chartbusters. Worth buying and listening.
