Aap Ki Khatir belongs to the romantic/comedy genre and is produced by Ratan Jain. Dharmesh Darshan has directed the film and it stars Akshaye Khanna (Aman), Dino Morea (Danny), Suniel Shetty (Kunal), Priyanka Chopra (Anu) and Amisha Patel (Shirani). The music has been done by Himesh Reshammiya. Akshaye Khanna has rendered a nazm and a promotional video featuring Priyanka will also be released for the film. Priyanka is very excited about her different avatar and the lead pair Akshay and Priyanka are said to have an extremely good chemistry on-screen.
Anu and Shirani are stepsisters, but while Shirani lives in Mumbai, Anu is an NRI living in London. Anu is currently going through an extremely bad phase as she has just split with her boyfriend Danny. While Anu is nursing a broken heart, to add more misery she also has to attend her stepsister Shirani’s wedding in Mumbai. Shirani meanwhile is extremely excited to be getting married to Kunal Shah. Unfortunately the crux of Anu’s problems lies in the fact that Kunal is also a close friend of Danny.
Anu knows that Danny will in all probability attend the wedding and hence she does not want to seem as the lonely, broken-hearted damsel in distress. So she comes up with a plan. And for this she enlists the help of her colleague Aman who is also a male escort. Anu plans to take Aman along with her as her beau to Mumbai in order to get back at Danny and make him jealous. Aman agrees to be a part of this charade.
What’s interesting is that earlier Shirani too was involved with Casanova Danny until she learned of his flirtatious and womanizing ways. This however did not stop Anu from getting involved with Danny. Was Anu even aware of Danny’s womanizing ways and the fact that he had broken her stepsister’s heart?
However a new complication arises when Aman begins to find Anu fascinating, and as time passes she too develops a fondness for him. So what happens to the triangle of Anu, Aman and Danny? Will Danny try to get Anu back in his life? And what happens to Shirani and Kunal, will they have a happy wedding?
The story definitely seems interesting and a fresh idea for bollywood. Nonetheless it does sound like it’s been inspired by a Hollywood drama. The film will have many fresh pairs like Akshaye-Priyanka, Priyanka-Amisha, and others. It has a capable cast and hence one can look forward to watching the chemistry between all the actors on-screen. |
