The charming Raveena Tandon has accomplished new milestones with her extraordinary acting talent and cute girl next door image. Born on 26th October 1974 to Ravi Tandon and Veena Tandon; Raveena Tandon was no newcomer to the film industry as she had her roots in the film industry in her film maker father Ravi Tandon.
Having completed her schooling from the prestigious Juhu Based Jamna bai Narsee, she joined Mithibai College for two years. Raveena’s debut as an actress was destined in 1991 with Patthar ke Phool, which went down with the audience who was bowled over by her simplicity and playful vibrance. The film also saw her winning the Filmfare award for the new face. Most of her films like Mohra and Ladla were commercially successful. It also paved the way for her relationship with Akshay Kumar which broke subsequently. However her films such as Andaaz Apna Apna and Zamaana Dewanaa failed to click commercially. The years 1996-1997 saw her revive her career with hits like Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi and Ziddi.
Always rated as a below average performer, she proved her critics wrong with her matured performance in offbeat films like Aks, Bulandi and Daman. The film Daman directed by Lajmi not only had her bag the National Award but also felicitated her much accolade.
Apart from trying her hand at production, she also championed certain campaigns against social issues related to the slaughtering of animals.
Raveena, who finds herself within precincts of domestic bliss as a wife to Anil Thadani and mother to Raasha and Ranvir, had once hit headlines for adopting two girls as a single parent.
