Kajol Devgan, a popular and one of the most successful heroines of Bollywood is a Marathi-Bengali, born on August 5th, 1974. Kajol is the daughter of yester year actress Tanuja and the late film producer-director Shomu Mukherjee. Her maternal aunt was actress Nutan. Kajol's sister Tanisha is also an actress, and her cousin Rani Mukherjee is also a Bollywood heroine. Actor Mohnish Behl and Sharbani Mukherjee are her other cousins.

Kajol got married to Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan on 24th of february, 1999, and has got two children, one daughter named Nysa and one son named Yug.

She debuted with "Bekhudi" in 1992. Despite being on the heavier side and having a dusky complexion, Kajol is a favourite of many ace directors.
